Gangstagrass - On The Run
An extremely interesting (and fun) little project from electro-country artist Rench, the Gangstagrass record (available for free from the website) pairs a few unknown (at least to me) rappers with some beats built out of old bluegrass samples.
The mix works surprisingly well, especially on this track, an on-the-run-from-the-law-with-nothing-to-lose ballad (appropriately, a form that’s as familiar to country lovers as it is to hip-hop heads).
