Bon Iver - Flume
All the critics went mad, averaging out to an astounding 89 points on Metacritic, and I didn’t get it. I figure, in retrospect, that it was the beginning of summer, the sun was out, and I was listening to Talib Kweli. So Bon Iver’s inward-facing melancholy was hard for me to digest. But now, in the dark, rainy month of August (wtf?), I see what everyone was talking about. It’s a hell of a record.
